Curvy Girls Pole is Evolving
When I started Curvy Girls Pole in 2016, I set out to create a space in the pole community where curvy women’s bodies were represented, celebrated and empowered.
Since then, we’ve grown to a community of over 100K people across social media and created the first plus-size exclusive pole brand to give Curvy polers a destination where their size is always available. While I’m proud of the accomplishments we made, I found myself falling out of love with this brand over the last few years – I’ve grown, our community has grown, but CGP hadn’t.
Inclusion and representation has always been at the forefront of this brand, and yet we were excluding so many folks in curvy-bodied pole fam. I knew it was time to evolve the brand to better serve and represent our community and after sitting on this for quite some time, I realized that it was time for a major shift.
For this reason, I’m thrilled to announce that Curvy Girls Pole is currently being re-branded to better represent, celebrate and empower curvy dance bodies from the girls, the guys, the theys, the zes, the xis and everyone in between. In addition, while pole will always be our primary focus, we also want to highlight a broader range of aerialists and athletes. I’m excited and confident that this is the next meaningful step for the growth and evolution of this brand and will give us the foundation to expand every aspect of it – especially our community!
Ultimately, the foundation of the brand isn’t changing, we’re just making a shift to better acknowledge the diversity of identities and aerial abilities in our curvy-bodied pole community.
While I’m grateful for everything that we’ve accomplished together as Curvy Girls Pole, It’s time for us to open a new chapter in this journey together and I hope you’ll come with us for the ride. ?
